Welcome to my thought canvas I have called UrbanBrainSnacks. I think out loud here with no particular agenda other than the perpetual desire of mulling over our existence, exploring options for designing one’s life and sharing perspectives over topics dear to my heart.
UrbanBrainSnacks is a free-flowing space
My writing is no institutionalised self-help hysteria, I don’t sell any books or merchandise (hang on, should I?), and I have no intentions of making any money with this website. In my snippets-turned-essays I am pondering over life design options, new living & working concepts (yes, even before Covid had made that a no brainer), behaviour strategies, remarkable women, art, architecture & urban planning.
My name is Sandra Loeffler
I am a writer and visual artist. You can run across me wandering around London’s Hampstead Heath, or I might be walking & talking with my friend M. at the Thames Path near Surrey Quays. There’s also an above average chance you’ll find me hanging out in one of North London’s pubs.
As analytical day dreamer I am no stranger to maddening detail, although I am a burning admirer of the big picture. I am a creative optimist, yet I think that doom and gloom are attractive to work with, too.
For want of other ears I hadn’t exhausted yet, I got into the habit of doing inner fireside chats. I also do a lot of proper talking with myself (things might not end well, I know). That’s in a nutshell the reason why I started some years ago to record my observations.
I am not sure yet what I should call my writing style and someone said that it is quite all over the place. Surely, she meant the choice of my diverse sujets oozing with my adorably widespread curiosity. Indeed, I am quite certain that this is what she actually wanted to say.
Anyway: Verbalised, refined with some grammar and completed with (a lot of) factual research, the essays on UrbanBrainSnacks are the packaged outcomes of my inner monologue. Although I usually say otherwise, I secretly want to become filthy rich and famous when I am all grown up. I will have to look into merchandising after all. Thank you for reading!
